| If one listens to his or her area or national Christian radio broadcasts,
television stations, or many ministers and "experts" then he or she is
bombarded with the words:
"Homosexuality is an abomination",
Homosexuality is perversion", "You cannot be a practicing homosexual and
expect to go to heaven", "God hates homosexuality", "Homosexuality is destroying
our nation and is a threat to the family"
Is this right? First we need to determine what it means to be in
Christ and then we need to examine if one can be homosexual and in
Christ.
1. Being In Christ
Being in Christ means that one has personally received Jesus Christ
into his life as his personal saviour. In reading John we find the Bible
states:
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life,
but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them."
{John 3:36} and
"For God so loved the world that He gave His
one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal
life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to
save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned but
whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he/she has not
believed in the name of God's one and only Son"
GOOD NEWS!!! By believing in and receiving God into your life you were
placed in Christ. You are a child of God. You are saved!!

2. Being Gay
God has known each and everyone of us for all time. Jeremiah 1:5 "Before
I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart".
If God knew Jeremiah before he was born don't you think he knows each of
us - therefore God knows a person's sexuality before they are born. It
is not a surprise to Him - just us. We each learn about our sexuality as we grow, but God has known about it forever.
God has chosen different people for
different tasks - learn your appointed role and live up to the standards
of God.
3. Being in Christ and being homosexual
By accepting Him into your heart and life you are saved. Matthew 26:28
"This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many
for the forgiveness of sins."
The statements made by Christ and the apostles are that
having Christ as your saviour is necessary for salvation.
The statements are not that one has to have Christ as Lord
and Saviour and be straight.
Salvation - our salvation is not our doing. It is a gift from God through
the sacrifice of His Son. Eph 2:8-10 states "For
by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing,
it is the gift of God - not because of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Jesus Christ for good works, which
God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
Therefore, if you have accepted Christ you belong to Christ's family.
"The
body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its
parts are many, they from one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all
baptized by one Spirit into one body - whether Jews or Greeks, slave or
free - and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Now you are the body
of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." (1 Cor. 12:12-13)
To continue Paul writes in Gal. 3:26-28 "for in Christ Jesus you are
all children of God through faith. As many of you were baptized into Christ
the Spirit's baptism have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is no longer
Jew or Greek, there is no loner slave or free, there is no longer male
or female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus."

Believe it. All believers both gay and non-gay
are one in Him.
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your life- DO
IT NOW!
All believers are one in Christ. All believers
are saved. All believers have eternal life.
